Full Re-model and Two Storey Extension in Harborne

Harborne, Birmingham. We popped back to see another one of our completed projects in Harborne this week. A lovely detached 1940s home that had been poorly extended and modified over the decades with low quality and badly built extensions to the front and rear. The brief was extensive, make the house beautiful again to the front, extending and re-configuring substantially internally, and extending to the rear at ground and first floor.

This is the result! A two storey contemporary extension to the rear picking up on the gable language of the front of the property whilst using a modern approach and materials.
The first floor now has five generous bedrooms, with additional ensuites, and a spacious landing. The master bedroom has a glorious picture window looking out over the rear garden.

On the ground floor we retained the existing front reception rooms, whilst creating a beautiful open plan kitchen / living space spilling out on the terrace. A suite of ancillary rooms on the ground floor provide a gym space, utility and ground floor shower room.

The best of both worlds in one house, a great location, beautiful period property to the front, and contemporary living accommodation to the rear.

Look out for the full web project page coming shortly.
