Lockdown Portrait – Garden extension in Harborne and Covid-19 Update

Lockdown portrait of a project on site in Harborne, Birmingham. As with many construction projects work stopped on this extension in late March, luckily after foundations had been poured and some progress made on damp course brickwork. Now slowly, and carefully builders are returning to site, taking the necessary precautions and some new progress is beginning to be made. Small, careful steps!

And good news, as we are very much looking forward to seeing this one finished. We took advantage of the drop in level to the garden to create a split level space, with the kitchen dining area in a sunken, secret garden room at the back of the house. We’re expecting lush foliage connecting the house to the garden!

The GAC has also of course been carefully following the UK government’s lockdown procedures and precautions, and have a detailed methodology that has allowed us to continue surveying properties subject to a number of safety conditions being met. As the lockdown is easing we are also now able to start visiting prospective clients and properties. If you are interested in exploring the options for re-imagining your home with us, get in touch on 0121 270 7227 and we can discuss your ideas and arrange a safe way to visit your home.
