Award Winner!! A modest project in scale, anything but in impact. An absolutely beautiful family home, the extension infilled between the rear of the house and the kitchen, creating an open plan kitchen, dining and seating area and opening up to a snug in the rear reception room connected to the new space.
Carefully scaled and detailed with period features such as the two coloured brick arch over the doors to the garden to create a contemporary space that blended seamlessly with the existing house. Original timber sash windows were re-used in the extension alongside careful matching of internal finishes such as the quarry tiles in the kitchen. The owners choice of a vintage re-working of the kitchen island knits the space together beautifully.
Delightfully finished with vintage touches, this home was awarded “Period Living’ magazine’s project of the year in November of last year. So many lovely things to look at, put together with love and attention to detail. No surprise it ran out as the reader’s favourite!
