Our clients approached us early in 2016 after having re-located from London and buying a beautiful period property that needed some care and attention. As a professional chef and artist they were looking for spaces that would allow them to pursue their work in their new home.
The kitchen was to be extended considerably creating a brightly day lit space that addressed the garden, large enough for cooking demonstrations and classes. Alongside this we also looked at providing a beautiful extended first floor bathroom, a downstairs loo, cloak room and utility. We opened up the house across the rear with a contemporary brick design for the rear extension whilst reflecting the existing house for the two storey element. This created a lovely open space for the new kitchen professional grade kitchen looking across the garden to the ‘off-the-shelf’ studio and gym space.
